“BOKKOM”

Background:

Its that time of the year again, when the best of the best is brought out of every SAVAF Pilot!
Pilots are to fly the Bokkom obstacle course, situated at Langebaan, to determine who will be the pilot with the best nerves of steel, and the best quick reflexes.
This time around it will be a Bokkom with a twist!
Each pilot will take off from AFB Langebaan using the T6 Harvard. At each obstacle, pilots are to perform a loop to go through the obstacle a second time.
Once complete, pilots are to land as quickly as possible back at AFB Langebaan, and change aircraft to the Grippen, and complete the course again IN REVERSE! Pilots do NOT have to fly through the obstacles twice in this leg.
NOTE: Maximum speed in the Grippen will be 350KIAS.

Objective:

Fly the Bokkom Obstacle Course as briefed. The first pilot to land at AFB Langebaan after the Grippen flight will lift this year’s Bokkom Trophy.

Orders:

Take off from AFB Langebaan using the T6 airframe and complete the circuit, making sure to pass through each obstacle twice by means of loop manoeuvres.
Return to AFB Langebaan and switch to the SB39 Grippen airframe.
